Winding down the 2012 year

I am so glad the elections are over. I'm also glad that Obama went back in office. Like him or not, agree with him or not, he's a smart man with standards and character and wants what's best for the country. Whether he accomplishes that with the sorry old pricks that are in Congress is another thing. If it wasn't Obama then a dog catcher would be better than Romney-Ryan. I can't get into those sorry bastards now, don't want to stir up the nausea again.

SO. We are coming into another Winter. Here along the Gulf Coast it's mild. Beautiful days, cool to slightly cold nights and for now that's just great. There's a lot about Alabama that I don't like but it has the best climate of anyplace I've lived. People are friendly albeit a bit behind the times but all in all it's not bad.

Oh! BTW, in a previous post I said I would post a picture of my darling Sheba. Our rescue dog that is now 16 years old. I had lost a bunch of my pics but found this one. She's a bit more gray now but definitely my heart!

Is that gorgeous or what? LOL She is not overly crazy about the camera thing. The best watchdog ever.  It's time for this year to end and another begin. Once you become a Senior Citizen the years sure go by faster. Something wrong with that I think. We should have more time. We need it.
Besides, I want a Do-Over. I've had an understanding with our God of Heaven for many years now. He understands me and puts up with me. I try to do what he wanted his Humans to do in the first place. We don't always do that and the Planet is suffering for it.
I haven't had a chance to be all I could be, do all I could do and help all I could help. Sounds like a first class cop out doesn't it. It is. All I had to do was not try to satisfy and please everyone else. I should have had a little more selfish side in me. Even my Mom said I didn't have selfish bone in my body and if I asked for little I'd get nothing. She was right. And, as it turns out, all those people I tried so hard to please and to satisfy? They were the first to turn against me.
So, screw 'em.
And, as is the usual around here, interruptions abound and someone else needs coffee. I could let the manic side of me take over and let chips fall but then........nah, court proceedings are long and drawn out and not always fair. (hehehehehe)
I shall return another time.

The 4-legged Furries We All Need and Love

This is my cat. My child. A Feral outcast, discarded by life and wanting only a warm hand and some milk. Her cry that night was ear splitting for one so tiny. Her eyes barely open it was if she was giving the last cry in her, "feed me or kill me but get this over with". Of course, 4 years later, she is still with me and continues to delight me every day. I am her Mama. I know it and she knows it.
Pets are almost a necessity. Somehow living in a house without 4 legged furry little beasts around just isn't complete. I think it's the unconditional love thing that so called experts talk about. You aren't judged, you aren't argued with, you aren't "less" in there eyes. If you are lonely, they fix that. If you are sad to the point of crying they will deliberately sense it and do something totally dumb and funny. They know. They know what you need and when you need it. Amazing.

I often wonder about people that say they don't like animals. Serious character flaw there. They don't have to have a pet if they don't want to of course. But to say they don't like an animal? Really? They should work on that attitude and find out why they don't. People that abuse animals of course should simply be taken out and shot. No, seriously, there isn't room on this planet for people like that. Abuse or hurt an animal? What part of a brain is deviant to that point that you could purposely inflict pain on an animal that simply wants to be petted, fed and smiled at occasionally? No, those kind of sub-humans are only taking up precious air space in this world and they, quite frankly, need to go. Permanently.

I have a dog also but lost the pictures when my last computer crashed! I will show her next time. She's a wonderful, loyal, smart, loving girl. Chow/Lab mix, we got her at an adoption showcase years ago. A rescue dog of course and what a joy she has been. She has now reached her 16th year with us. The years show and she still has her keen senses. Hearing, smell, and sight are amazingly sharp. Her movements are slow now, her hips are showing signs of Arthritis. Her once totally solid black coat is now peppered a lot with gray! There have been a couple recent events that tell me her days are dwindling down. I can't even think about it without tearing up.

Changing subject here.

My days may be doing the same thing it seems. I am right at my 7th decade and way too many things going on inside that I am very suspicious of. It may be just me but the doc I'm seeing will find out I guess and let me know. We shall see.

First chance I get to have some privacy and "quietude" I'll post some more.
If anyone has chanced upon this, well, feel free to read what you want and take care of yourself.

Shall we dance? I have a lot to share, a lot to complain about (some say 'whine' about, so be it) and I also have some advice to share. Of course I do, I am a graduate of Life, I have a Masters degree in the school of hard knocks. Me and a huge number of others are from the same school.
I've led a fairly interesting, some what Enchanted life. I say Enchanted because by all that's logical I should have been dead a long, long time ago. I know for a fact I have worn out and retired at least a dozen Guardian Angels. The have more than earned their wings! A lot of my life was spent in watching in the third person. I could stand back and visualize the scene in front of me and wonder what the heck is going on? LOL It appeared that way at least.
People amaze me. Back in the day (don't you just love that saying? It is becoming popular again) I noticed that people had a certain degree of common sense. As time has gone by, as parents have become younger, we have kids raising kids it seems. The lack of even the simplest form of common sense has disappeared. Violent video games have definitely desensitized not just the kids, but the child-parents that are raising them. Too late I think to re-educate so I would say that when stupid parents with their stupid kids are out there, take the initiative and give them a good old fashion kick in the butt!
Of course you can't do that. You'd go to jail and the stupid parents with the stupid kids would just go on doing what they do best, stupid things!
Unfortunately, those same parents and the same kids grow to voting age. The Greedy Old Pricks depend on them staying stupid, that way they can con them into believing anything at all. Of course I mention the GOP because they are the worst, most evil and most conniving power mongers that ever walked this Earth! Now, there are some Dems that fall into the same category. Basically the Dems started out wanting to help the working class, the Middle Class (or what's left of it) but they lacked the one necessary thing to do it with. Backbone! Called a SPINE y'all! It seems the first sign of foot stomping by the GOP and the Dems wet their pants. Or, like that spine-LESS Liberman, the turncoat Judas, just switch parties and call himself an Independent  but is just a Republican in disguise. What a total ASS! I may have spelled his name wrong but really, who cares? A Judas goat is still the same.
O.K., I've made a start here. If I can kick my own butt and get back here often I will be adding more and more. New pages too as I can.
Time for me to start some lunch for my darlin' hubby and then watch the rain. It's pouring here folks, hugely!
Cya soon
